What Can You Expect From Training?
Combatives
Knowing how to kick and punch effectively is extremely important when trying to defend yourself. It is not so much about being able to give one punch and knock someone out, but about trying to give as many strikes as quickly and effectively as possible. Combatives are a great way to get out your aggression and it is also a great fitness exercise!
Techniques
Techniques are the way in which you can release or remove yourself from various situations. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you like about the techniques. The beauty of Krav is that the techniques are simple and easy to learn and are based on your natural instincts.
Scenario-based training
In order to make your training more realistic, different scenarios are played out which allows you to put into practice the various techniques and skills you have learnt in class. Scenario training is a good way to find out how you react under stressful situations.
This is important because when attacked, fear sets in, and unless you have been trained to automatically respond when pumped with adrenaline, you may not react in the way you would, ideally like. The best training is one that simulates the real experience.
Our philosophy is that it is better for you to go through a stressful attack in class first, in a safe and supportive environment, rather than out on the street.
